Register for the N.C. State Extension Stream Repair Workshop
Saturday, November 1, 2025
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Learn what you can do to protect and improve the health of this stream. This stream repair workshop is hosted by Mitch Woodard, NC State Extension Service, assisted by Michael Dupree, Urban Sustainability Solutions. They will demonstrate how to stabilize and grow vegetation on a stream bank to reduce erosion and improve stream health. Sediment is the #1 pollutant affecting the health of Bolin Creek and Jordan Lake, regional water supplies, and drinking water sources.
These experts will teach how to make small-scale repairs using natural materials and native plants to create healthy, stable streambanks.
This is a free workshop, but registration is required so that we know how many are coming. This is a stream-side, hands-on, 3-hour workshop.
NOTE: There will be no classroom instruction or certification options provided. You are welcome to pack your own snacks and drinks.
