Friends of Bolin Creek support bikeways that are NOT in fragile wetlands. An off-road Seawell School bikepath would have these advantages over a creekside route:

Provide direct connectivity between current and future bikeway paths on Estes Dr.

Cost less to maintain

Open year-round without flood concerns

Create a shorter, direct route to schools

Allow natural absorption of stormwater

Prevent erosion and flooding downstream

Protect beautiful and rare species of wildlife

Protect drinking water for communities downstream
I walk along the creek and in my opinion the off-road Seawell School bikepath would be preferable.
Creekside is much safer for children
