Ethan Beattie, a new member of our Friends of Bolin Creek family, has done a lot for our Bolin Creek since moving to Carrboro with his young family. On a hike along Jones Creek, a tributary to Bolin, he discovered a large dump near and in the part of the creek located within Twin Creeks Park off of old 86, a relatively new County Park.
Ethan immediately contacted Rich Shaw with Orange County and together they organized a clean up party. There is still a big pile of trash left and with Ethan and Rich Shaw’s help Friends of Bolin Creek will help to finish the job in the fall. This photo was taken by Ethan before the cleanup.
