If the planting is successful, each stake grows into a small tree with a root ball that holds the bank together to prevent erosion.<\/p>\n<p>Mitch Woodard from the North Carolina Extension Service provided instruction, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urbanss.org\/news\/uss-joins-friends-of-bolin-creek-for-a-live-staking-workshop\">Michael Dupree from Urban Sustainable Solutions<\/a><\/strong> assisted in the event.
