A group of volunteers, including Friends of Bolin Creek, Bolin Creek Homeowners, the Town of Carrboro, and local high school students, joined forces to restore an eroded hillside above Bolin Creek. The project was led by Meg Malloy, who secured a State of North Carolina 319 grant to build a \u201cregenerative stormwater conveyance.\u201d An engineering firm created a series of berms on the hillside that will slow the velocity of stormwater, which will not only redirect stormwater but also filter out pollutants in small pools.
