Jordan Lake. North Carolina Legislators have held up the implementation of the Jordan Lake rules that were intended to raise standards for new development. Town and Cities in the large watershed of this important water supply had already begun to prepare for taking the required measures to reduce pollutants entering Jordan Lake.
Meanwhile legislators have formed a study committee to reexamine the rules. One questionable approach is to try to treat all pollution at its source through an in-the-lake pumping technique. Here is the story on facebook.
